Latest CD:
This Ride Could Be My Last
We
know lots of our fans have been eagerly anticipating our
new CD, which we've been working on all summer long. The
wait is worth it! We've got a great new full-length CD that
features many audience favorites including "Snitch,"
"Ticket Anywhere," and Mike Shawn's stirring "Hard
To Sleep." You can listen to samples and purchase
it here.
Once you buy the CD, please consider
writing a review at CD Baby. Every review helps
us!
The CD was produced and engineered by Steve Carr at Hit
and Run Recording in Rockville, Maryland. Steve is known
nationwide as an impeccable hand at the board and we couldn't
be happier with the result of all this hard work.
Thank you to the many fans who came out to our CD release
party at the Austin Grill!

CD Baby Review: "The West End is great unplugged,
hard rock."
In
case you have not yet purchased it, you can get our first
CD, Risen, at CD
Baby or download it from
iTunes. Here's a recent review on CD Baby:
The West End is great unplugged, hard rock. Their
songs either tell you such an interesting story that you
find yourself becoming one or more of the characters in
the story or they sing a song that rocks into the depth
of your soul. Some of their songs even do both -- you
find yourself believing, for a moment in time that you
are one or more of the characters in the song and the
depths of your soul are being rocked. The West End is
a band who knows each other, musically, extremely well,
as you can tell in their body of work, in their personal
appearances, and in the album, "Risen." The four play
rock, almost as one.
Also, while they are primitive Americana rock, at
the same time they remind me, some, in very positive ways,
of the early Bruce Springsteen and what I imagine Billy
Joel would have sounded like with more musical accompaniment.
Joel might have been more interesting; The West End definitely
is interesting, already. Yet The West End has a style
of its own, which I find very unique.
Listen to the songs, on “Risen.” I think
you'll hear an album you just can’t quite put down
and stop listening to it; I did. The West End rocks! Enjoy
rocking with them!
Many thanks to John Cooper-Martin for this kind
review.
