Free To Choose

By Brad Rourke

As Jane was walking through the park just the other day
She ran into an old friend and she didn't know what to say
This old friend had always been on fire to get ahead
But Alexis Angel came around and this is what she said

She said stay away from the windows
Stay away from the telephone too
I can't tell you why I do this
I can't seem to stop but anyway I'm free to choose

Jane she watched Alexis turn around and walk away
She wondered what it was that made her friend turn out that way
She thought about just what we mean when we say that we're OK
Alexis Angel didn't want to wait for Judgment Day

She said stay away from the windows
Stay away from the telephone too
I can't tell you why I do this
I can't seem to stop but anyway I'm free to choose

Hey Alexis it's OK
Don't give up and go away
Don't you want to sit and stay
Hey Alexis how'd you know
It would be so hard to go
Hey Alexis it's OK

She said stay away from the windows
Stay away from the telephone too
I can't tell you why I do this
I can't seem to stop but anyway I'm free to choose

Jane she watched Alexis turn around and walk away
She wondered what it was that made her friend turn out that way
She thought about just what we mean when we say that we're OK
Alexis Angel didn't want to wait for Judgment Day
Alexis Angel didn't want to wait for Judgment Day
Alexis Angel didn't want to wait for Judgment Day
